Meet The Founder
Sue Humphreys has centered her 35+ year career around justice technology, where she has proven herself as a passionate advocate for justice, an unapologetically candid speaker, and an innovative thought leader.
Sue garnered an international audience with her recent podcast, Scaling Justice, and she actively contributes to several trade publications, working groups, and conferences in the justice space. Her straight-shooting perspective is trusted by practitioners around the country.
Working at the intersection of justice and technology, Sue has developed a nuanced perspective of both worlds—not only what they are today, but what they can be. Her vision for a person-centered approach to justice sparked the creation of Gatewood Consulting Group, and it continues to motivate and energize Gatewood’s work.
Gatewood’s name was inspired by the simplicity, passion, and dogged determination of Emma Gatewood, the first woman to hike the 2,168-mile Appalachian Trail, who packed nothing but a blanket, a raincoat, and a shower curtain.
